Marissa, Goldrider

Disclaimer: This song has nothing to do with any person or character named Marissa. The name was chosen completely at random sometime in 1993.

Once there was a woman dear
Loved by people far and near
High atop her dragon gold
She led her dragonriders bold
In and out of clouds of Thread.
Skin so fair, twas never bled.
All the dragons knew her well
And if you listened, you could tell
Which great deed she'd done that day.
And you could hear the people say,
"Marissa dear, we love you so,
And you'll take care of us we know."
Her life continued for many a year
But then it happened, we all could hear
The dragons' mourning, wailing blast
Roars so loud theybroke the glass
Hemoth's fire missed its mark
She went between into the dark
Her heartbest stopped, her breathing ceased
It was her death, and her beast's.
